HABA On The Farm Threading Game

July 14, 2017

We absolutely love toys that promote learning and education over at Little Gummi and the HABA On The Farm Threading Game is the perfect toy with the best of both worlds. For children as young as 18 months, it encourages hand-eye coordination and development. Jensen is 2 and still loves hers!  It more or less is great for teaching patterns and just a wonderful introduction into directions and problem solving. It sounds silly because I don’t think we truly ponder teaching our young 18 month olds about patterns and directions but it is such a crucial age for beginning developments.

I absolutely love games for the entire family and HABA gave just that with their On The Farm Threading Game. Sometimes traditional boardgames can give an overwhelming feel and I love the simplicity of the On The Farm Threading Game. It sparks just enough curiosity to hold a young kiddos attention but at the same time does not feel overwhelming.
Threading the animals are so easy! Especially for little bitty hands. It comes with 8 pieces, four template sets and a bag to hold it! The templates have easy to follow directions that include patterns for your young ones to mimic while threading. We love to turn this into a counting experience as well! So we count the items we are threading and not only learn crucial hand-eye coordination but educational developments as well.

The On The Farm Threading Game is a perfect gift for any party, or just a great buy for your own kiddo to enjoy. I love that it catches and sparks the interest of younger babes all the way up to toddlers and gives a great opportunity for us as parents to teach our young ones animal identifying, names, sounds and multiple other educational developments!

You can begin your kiddos On The Farm Threading Game fun by shopping the link below! The made in Germany game is composed of beech wood and gives me peace of mind knowing my child is playing with something safe and fun! Keep in mind, the pieces are small and always need parental supervision when enjoying!

Playgro Music and Lights Comfy Car

May 20, 2017

Do you ever need a place to safely put your little one while you do the laundry, cook dinner or just need an ‘ahhh’ moment to relax? Yes?! Me too! Look no further than this super sweet Music and Lights Comfy Car from Playgro! This plush car promotes play and learning through music as well as a safe place for sitting for those younger Littles from 6months on. While it was intended for our 7 month old, our 2 year old has taken quite a liking to the Music and Lights Comfy Car as well. It is safe to safe it is officially a Little Gummi favorite.

The Playgro Music and Lights Comfy Car is plush enough for your Little to comfortably sit without fussing (Tell me my kids aren’t the only ones who do this?!) and entertaining enough to keep them occupied and happy for endless fun. This comfy little car is the right size for 6 months and on. It has an opening at the bottom where the feet go so even my 2 year old can hop in and play in the ‘race car’ as she calls it.

With music and lights the entertainment is as endless as the development your babe will incur from this plush car. The steering wheel with activities is removable so your Little can take their favorite car with them on the go. We love to sing the wheels on the bus and the Music and Lights Comfy Car is such a great addition as it provides the ultimate hands-on learning to go right along with our song. The indicator lights blink, the horn honks and the steering wheel moves for your little driver.

We cannot get enough of the Player Music and Lights Comfy Car and think it would make a great addition to any home! With its compact and plush shell there’s no where you can’t put your little racer!

Learning Resources New Sprouts Camp Out!

May 6, 2017

As a parent of two, I have been determining the worth of my outings on if the actual errand is shorter than the time it takes to put the kids in the car and if the answer is ‘yes’, we nix it. Let’s face it, parenting is a tough -yet rewarding- gig and sometimes it is easier to be homebound and lazy, even if that means having a pretend play campfire over a real one. Learning Resources New Sprouts Camp Out is designed to stimulate the imagination and encourage pretend play in any setting. At Little Gummi we love fun toys with educational values. Grab some s’mores and get ready to shop this awesome campfire set!

Veyo Mittyz | The Only Glove For Your Littles

April 21, 2017

As dreamy as it is watching your Babes play in the snow, build a snow man (or woman!) and eat who knows what on those legendary homemade snow cones, the part right before all of that happens can be just a bit chaotic. The part I’m talking about specifically? Getting dressed for the elements! My daughter just abhors anything that could possibly keep her warm, including mittens. She will fight us tooth and nail until her hands are red and she decides it’s not worth it. Veyo Mittyz are created to eliminate those pink hands and the littles fight to get dressed.

Code & Go Robot Mouse | Learning Resources

April 15, 2017

Code and Go Robot Mouse

In an era of a huge robotic birth, it seems really fitting that we introduce our children to the world of coding and technological exploration. At Little Gummi we really support the advancements of what technology has become and one of the earliest ways you can introduce that to your Little is through the Code & Go Robot Mouse by Learning Resources. This mouse and its track is a great modern day rendition of Classical Conditioning, only in this case it occurs through coding and technology. We promise you will spend more time interacting and playing than thinking!
