G Diapers Cloth Diaper

G Diapers have been with us from the start as we purchased the newborn bundle for our Little.
One of my favorite aspects of G Diapers is how it grows so well with your bebe. The newborn bundle contains only disposables however once growing out of those you can choose between cloth inserts or continuing the disposables.

We stopped G Diapers after our little was about 10 pounds, or 2 months because the cloth inserts seemed to always get bundled up and they didn’t hold wet diapers quite as well as when she was smaller.
Speaking from experience, G Diapers are amazing to start the cloth journey in. We had no diaper rashes at all. We also used the Gro Via diaper balm with our G Diapers to add to the protection.
The G Diapers have such a great fit and I love the velcro closures. The only issue I had with the material was that sometimes in the newborn G Diapers it felt like the velcro might have irritated her skin but I’m not completely certain, we think they may have been just a bit too tight.

My only complaint is that it would had been nice if G Diapers had more organic friendly products. We have not dealt with any diaper rashes to date and feel that this is because of the decision to go cloth but with that said, it is much more comforting knowing that you are putting safe materials on your Littles body and this includes using organic and bamboo fabrics. We combine our cloths with a bamboo insert over the actual cloth for added protection.
g Diaper liners and soak pads
After using G Diapers for a while we did discover the G Diapers cloth liners were part hemp which is a huge plus because hemp gets softer with each wash. Stains also come out quite a bit easier with hemp as opposed to other fabrics and materials.
The shell for G Diapers was almost resistant to leaks unless of course the leak was out the leg or up the back. This I was pleased about. We did have some issues with our bebe leaking out the front of her G Diaper if she was on her belly, which was most often when she was laying on my chest. Never failed.
We love G Diapers and would use them over again with every bebe.
Note that if using G Diapers, the velcro goes on the back, or in other words the G is on the bum. We didn’t figure that one out until we actually ended our G Diapers run.
G Diapers are amazing and one of the easiest cloth diapers we have yet to encounter. With essentially three steps, they are completely fool-proof and wash great with every cleaning.

Pros
  • Option for cloth or disposable inserts
  • Various sizes
  • Easy to use
  • Part hemp materials
  • Inexpensive

Cons

  • Inserts are not interchangeable with shell size
  • Minimal leakage
  • Velcrow is on bum which can be tedious

Recommended for: We recommend G Diapers for those essential newborn days. With material that is soft enough for the youngest skin, no bum goes unnoticed.
