Meiya the Mouse and Alvin the Elephant

April 29, 2017

At Little Gummi we really like environmentally friendly toys so having something as whimsical and pure as the delicate Meiya the Mouse and Alvin the Elephant children’s toys is a really great bonus for us! The momma behind these sweet animals designed them with an envision of replicating the innocence that children posses. This innocence is what gives our Babes the identity of who they are creator, Mano Sheriff captures exactly that with Meiya and Alvin.

The Sri Lankan momma wanted to give our children an un-touched world through these products that capsulate exactly what it means to be pure and in touch with the finest of elements provided to us within childhood. The birth of the whimsical animals came first in the book “A Day at the Park with Meiya & Alvin” which depicts a world of purity and sweetness where the characters live.

Aside from creating an emotion of a good world through her products, Mano Sheriff’s Meiya the Mouse and Alvin the Elephant actually are good for the world! These products are safe for all ages, even the youngest of babes because they are manufactured and come from recycled materials that are natural and sustainable. Meiya the Mouse and Alvin the Elephant are not just designed to tell a story of respect but they actually are made from products that show eminent respect for the world in which we inhabitat and our environment.
Mano Sheriff realizes “by respecting [our] environment, we respect our planet and prepare it for future generations” and this is definitely reflected within each aspect of these non-toxic, BPA-free, phthalate-free, PVC-free amazing products.
Meiya the Mouse and Alvin the Elephant are the first ever products to combine natural rubber, made from the Hevea tree and soft textiles created from natural cotton fabrics. Each character is hand painted using plant based dyes -don’t worry, they are non-toxic- which means not only are they each given special attention and a personal touch but they are also completely safe for newborns as well as teething children. I can definitely attest to this because our 6 month old absolutely loves chewing on his Alvin the Elephant! If there aren’t enough ‘pluses’ already about Meiya the Mouse and Alvin the Elephant they are also machine washable. Although, we recommend spot cleaning the characters and their recycled plastic stuffing!
